The ØreXund Excubator is a state-of-the-art sustainable entrepreneurship programme for start-ups and established businesses in the Øresund Region. In nine weeks we will help you sharpen your ideas and guide you through all the essential steps of developing a viable business model.

The programme includes six digital workshops and three meetings IRL in Copenhagen and Malmö making it possible for you to connect with other sustainable and cooperative entrepreneurs in the region. You will be assigned a personal business advisor from both Sweden and Denmark that will help you pursue your entrepreneurial dreams and open your eyes to a market beyond the borders.

The Øresund Excubator is run by a collaboration between Coompanion in Sweden and Kooperationen and the Think Tank Demokratisk Erhverv in Denmark and thanks to the support from Interreg Öresund-Kattegatt-Skagerrak it is free of charge.

Who Can Apply?

The ØreXund Excubator offers support to start-ups and small businesses looking to develop their company in a sustainable way. You can apply as a solo entrepreneur or as a team. You don´t have to run a cooperative but you need to be interested in developing a viable business with sustainability and involvement in focus.

Due to our funding you or your company also need to be a resident in the Region of Skåne, the Capital Region of Denmark or the Region of Zealand (Sjælland), including Bornholm, to be part of the programme.

The ØreXund project

Did you know that research shows that cooperatives – democratically owned and operated business – are proven to be more productive, more resilient in times of crisis and more sustainable than other types of businesses? It´s true, but unfortunately it´s not a well-known fact.

Considering how we live in uncertain times it makes a lot of sense to invest in future growth of new democratically owned and sustainable businesses in the Øresund Region. So we created The ØreXund project, gathering the key players when it comes to supporting cooperative entrepreneurship in the region to do some operative work together. Starting September 2021 a total of 120 companies (60 Danish and 60 Swedish) will be offered a unique sustainable entrepreneurship programme including business support, networking and mentoring.
